Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Kioo Digital (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates kioodigital.com and the Kioo Digital installable app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account or sign in with Google, we store your name and email address so we can manage your account and permissions (for example, whether you may write articles).
- Reading analytics. We record pages viewed, referring websites, browser and device information, country when available, and anonymous browser and session identifiers. These identifiers use your browser’s local and session storage. We use these records to understand readership and create aggregate reports. We do not sell this data.
- Installation data. If you install the Kioo Digital app, your browser may share standard install information with us.
How we use your information
- To provide and improve our news service.
- To authenticate writers and staff and enforce who may publish.
- To send you a welcome email the first time you sign in.
- To send Instagram caption and card drafts to our own newsroom address, never to readers.
- To measure and improve traffic and content.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, save unfinished article drafts on your device and measure readership. Google and other advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and similar technologies when advertising is enabled. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings and participating third party vendors through AboutAds choices. Clearing browser storage also removes preferences and any locally saved article drafts. Browser settings alone do not replace legally required advertising consent.
External services
We rely on trusted providers that may process limited data when you use Kioo Digital:
- Google AdSense serves display advertising and uses cookies. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Google sign in lets you access your account. We receive your name and email; we do not receive your password.
- Email delivery lets us send welcome and newsroom emails on our behalf.
Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Reading records are stored to produce traffic reports. Browser identifiers remain until you clear local storage, while session identifiers expire when the tab session ends. You may request deletion of your account or information by contacting us.
Your rights
- Access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Opt out of personalised advertising.
- Manage cookies and browser storage through your browser settings.
To exercise any of these rights, reach us via our contact page.
Children’s privacy
Kioo Digital is a Business and Technology journal and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision.
