Why we exist
Most of the world is reported about the global South and very little of it is reported from here. Kioo Digital exists to close that gap: the same rigour, the same range, a different vantage point.
We cover economies, logistics, corporate risk and software that move people, and we take the time to explain what they mean. Some of our explainers are drafted with the help of our AI desk. AI assistance does not replace editorial responsibility for accuracy, originality and corrections.
“Hold a mirror steady enough and people stop arguing about the reflection.”
Four rules we do not bend
Context before noise
We would rather file one story that explains the week than ten that repeat the hour.
Evidence before opinion
Our editorial standard is to verify claims, distinguish analysis from fact and retain essential attribution for quotations and allegations. Readers can request a correction through our contact page.
Written from here
Global stories read differently from Nairobi. That vantage point is the whole point.
Plain language
No jargon, no publicity language. If a reader needs a dictionary, we rewrote it wrong.
